Volunteer Rules



We at the ACTS Center believe that only through Jesus Christ transformation in one’s life can take place.  That is why we are at the ACTS Center to be a vessel for God to use and help the hurting and broken through the power of Christ.


  • All volunteers must be willing to be cross trained in all areas.

  • All volunteers need to sign in and out daily.

  • All volunteers need to check with Dan, Mel or Julie before taking items from the ACTs center that have not previously been put outside. This means everyone,

  • All volunteers must wear a “volunteer” name tag.

  • The area behind the double doors is off limits unless you are working in the kitchen.

  • Any volunteers receiving donations from a person’s car must bring items inside to be sorted or unless told otherwise by a leader.

  • When sorting items any items that are not clothing, undergarments, hats or shoes they should be put in the middle isle for sorting for the predetermined sorter to go through.

  • When greeting a customer at the door kindly explain what we do inside the building.

  • Designated smoking areas are at either end of the building.

  • When working in the kitchen with food please use gloves and keep prep area sanitary.

  • No one takes food without asking first.

  • Any drug or alcohol use before or during your shift will not be tolerated.

  • The Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have done unto you.

  • Remember be: slow to anger, slow to speak and quick to listen.
